Hi CU27041038-0,
1) Issue
- Customer rebate agreement has been processed and rebate transactions appear to be calculated
- However, the rebate status does not update to “Calculated”
- Because of the missing status update, the rebate cannot proceed to the approval stage
- This blocks further processing such as accrual posting or settlement
2) Reason
In D365 SCM, rebate processing involves multiple steps:
- Accrual calculation
- Status update
- Approval and posting
If the Rebate processing batch job or periodic task is not executed fully, the status may not transition correctly
- The calculation may exist at transaction level, but the header/status logic depends on proper execution of the rebate calculation process
Possible causes include:
- Rebate calculation job not completed successfully
- Missing or incorrect workflow/status configuration
- Transactions not marked as processed due to filtering or data inconsistencies
- Issues in rebate management parameters or agreement setup
- Customizations interfering with standard status update logic
3) Resolution
- Re-run the Rebate management → Periodic tasks → Calculate rebates process and ensure it completes without errors
Verify that:
- Rebate agreement is valid and active
- Customer and item criteria are fulfilled
- Transactions fall within the agreement period
- Check batch job history to confirm successful execution of rebate calculation
- Validate that no errors exist in Infolog or batch logs
- Ensure that the rebate workflow/status configuration allows transition to “Calculated”
- Review if any customizations or extensions are preventing status updates
As a corrective step:
- Recalculate rebates (if needed reset calculation status)
- Ensure all related transactions are properly marked and processed
- If the issue persists, debug the rebate processing classes or involve Microsoft support to identify potential defects
For a more detailed answer, please provide more information.
Rg,
Alexander
