Modelo 347 – Missing "Número de convocatoria BDNS" field in Spanish Localization

Hi everyone,

I am working with the Spanish localization of Business Central and have encountered an issue regarding a recent update published by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) for Modelo 347.

AEAT has introduced a new field in the type 2 record ("declared record") of the Modelo 347 file: "Número de convocatoria BDNS" (BDNS Call Number).

This field must be included whenever subsidies or grants from Public Administrations are reported under operation key E.

When generating the Modelo 347 file from Business Central, it seems that this new field is not yet supported. As a result, uploading the file to the AEAT website returns the following error:
  • Error: Caracteres no válidos "Número de convocatoria BDNS"
I have checked the standard functionality but haven’t found any indication that this change has been implemented yet in Business Central (Spanish localization).

My questions are:
  • Is Microsoft planning to update the Spanish localization to support this new BDNS Call Number field in Modelo 347?
  • If not planned in the near term, will new events be added to the corresponding report so we can extend it without modifying standard objects?
Any information or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

You’re right: standard Business Central Spanish localization does not yet support the new “Número de convocatoria BDNS” field in Modelo 347 (Type 2 record, key E), and the AEAT error you’re getting is expected with the current file structure. This is a recent regulatory change, and Microsoft typically delivers these updates in a later minor/monthly release rather than immediately. At the moment, there’s no official confirmation or timeline published, and the current report does not expose enough events to extend this cleanly without modifying standard objects. The usual interim options are either a temporary customization/workaround (manual file adjustment or controlled modification of the report) or waiting for Microsoft to release an updated ES localization that includes the BDNS field and validation.

Thanks, Oussama, for the detailed explanation.

Just to add some context from the SaaS perspective: since the standard 347 report includes several procedures marked with Scope = OnPrem, it is not possible to apply an “overwrite” layer or modify the report in any clean way in a cloud environment. Because of this limitation, the only feasible temporary workaround for SaaS customers is to manually adjust the generated file before submitting it to AEAT.

Given that no events are currently exposed and that customization is not possible in SaaS, I would like to ask:
    • Is this regulatory change already tracked internally by the Spanish localization team (e.g., via an internal work item or planned update)?
    • Is there any estimated timeframe, even approximate (next minor update, one of the monthly cumulative updates, etc.)?

This information would help us plan accordingly, since partners and customers depend on this field to successfully file Modelo 347 under key E.

    Thanks again for your support.
