US 94 Byte EFT

Hello,

I’m trying to configure an EFT 94-byte file for a company where the local currency is CAD, but the bank account being used has a default currency of USD.

When I prepare the payment journal and export the EFT file, the amount in the exported file is shown in the local currency (CAD). However, I need the EFT file to show the amount in USD, matching the bank account currency.

Could you please advise if there’s a way in Business Central to export the EFT file using the bank account currency (USD) instead of the company’s local currency (CAD)?

Any guidance or configuration suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Business Central EFT export always uses the company’s local currency by default. There is no standard setting to output the bank account currency in the EFT file.
    Options:
    > Customize the Data Exchange Definition or the EFT export codeunit to use the bank account currency instead of LCY.
    > Alternatively, maintain a separate company in USD if the bank requires USD-based files.
This cannot be changed without customization.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Do you have any localization in the database ? Usually Standard BC EFT export looks at bank account currency code unless there is some extra logic that comes on top of the export.

If you use AMC there the sender bank account currency code field that you can explore, or check with the debugger a short 1 transaction export to check from where is the currency code taken.
