Regarding the Global Search in the quick result pane

In the Global Search, quick results pane that appears shows partial matches for supports. Can we prioritize the display of exact matches in this pane and only then show partial matches after exact matches are displayed?
please refer the below example

I’m not asking about the main search functionality. While typing in the search box, the system currently displays related records in the quick view. Is it possible to configure this so that it only shows exact matches? When I press Enter after typing, the results show the exact match as expected—can we achieve the same behavior in the quick find suggestions?

    Hi @SP-25071125-0,

If users specifically require an exact match to filter out noise, the best approach is to use Search Operators:

Double Quotes ("SearchTerm"): Instruct users to wrap their query in double quotes. This forces an exact match on the phrase and typically excludes partial or fuzzy matches.

    Official Documentation - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/user/relevance-search#exact-matches

    Hope this helps!

You can type like this "4269877" use double quotes for the exact match. In start and end as well.

Thanks @André Arnaud de Calavon for Mentioning.

Basically, the "quick action" dropdown is designed by Microsoft to use "fuzzy matching." It intentionally looks for close matches because it assumes the user might have made a typo or missed a digit (which is why it's suggesting those other IDs that are off by one number).

Unfortunately, there is no setting to force the suggestion dropdown to be "Exact Match" only; that logic is hardcoded in the search service backend.

The best approach here is to let the users know that for specific IDs, they should just type the number and hit Enter. As you noticed, the actual search results page does the strict filtering and works correctly.

For reference, Microsoft documents this "Fuzzy search" behavior here:

Let me know if you need anything else on this.

global search doesn't support strict exact matches by default , it is fuzzy by default, It is always weird for the fuzzy search you are trying, you can narrow results using operators which can work for your scenario :
    -4269877 excludes undesired results.
    426987|4269877 for OR logic
+4269877  to check word is present.
