222In previous ERP systems I’ve used, there was a report called Inventory Value by Receipt Date. It allowed me to see how much inventory remained on hand for each receipt date, which helped identify how much of the higher-cost inventory was still in stock. This was especially useful when analyzing gross margins—if margins were low on an item, I could easily see how many units were still left to sell before we begin consuming the lower-cost under FIFO.
Does Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central offer a report or tool that provides similar visibility? Specifically, I’m looking for a way to view current inventory quantities broken down by their receipt date or cost layer, so we can better understand what remains in stock at higher cost levels.
