Migrate oncloud saas to onprem with all data using export db feature from cloud

🚨 Need Help: Migrating BC SaaS to OnPrem

I’m currently working on migrating a Business Central (BC) SaaS environment to an OnPrem setup, and I’m stuck at a critical step.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Exported the database from the BC SaaS environment.

Restored the database in my local SQL Server.

Installed the same version of Business Central OnPrem.

Connected the restored database to the BC server instance.

Issue:

When I try to start the BC instance, it fails with the error:

❌ “Metadata object not found” or “Application object not found.”

I even tried creating the missing table manually, but then it throws another error. At this point, the BC service instance is not starting at all.

👉 Has anyone faced this issue while migrating from SaaS to OnPrem?

👉 Do I need to run any additional sync or upgrade steps after restoring the SaaS DB locally?

👉 Any suggestions or best practices to get the instance running would be greatly appreciated.
