Financial report trial balance import

In the financial reporting module, I have the update excel template with data. however when I choose this button, I immediately get an error:
An error occurred and the transaction is stopped. Contact your administrator or partner for further assistance.
Any ideas how to resolve the error? I have the necessary permissions
