Hello Team

We want to migrate over 500+ MR training modules developed in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides to the Unity/Unreal platform. Could you please advise if Unity/Unreal provides any support for this migration and share any recommended approaches or best practices to achieve this migration.

    Migrating 500+ modules from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides to either Unity or Unreal Engine is possible, but it is important to understand that there is currently no direct one-click migration tool from Dynamics 365 Guides into Unity or Unreal.
    The migration usually requires:
    • content extraction,
    • asset conversion,
    • workflow redesign,
    • and rebuilding the training experience inside the target engine.
    Recommended Migration Strategy
    • Inventory and classify modules
    • Build reusable MR framework first
    • Convert content into data-driven format
    • Automate asset migration where possible
    • Rebuild complex interactions incrementally
    • Pilot with 5–10 representative modules before full migration
     
    Do NOT approach this as:
    • "500 separate migrations"
    The successful enterprise approach is:
     
    "build a reusable training platform and migrate content into it"
     
    That is the key difference between a manageable migration and an extremely expensive redevelopment effort.
