Hi,
Has anyone experienced issue with a production order of Variant A unable to generate a pegged supply production order of Variant B under the same item number due to BOM circularity?
Majority of our products are Product Masters. Product number 33494 has product variants 33494-A and 33494-B, where variant 33494-B is added in the BOM line of variant 33494-A.
Running the Circularity check on the BOM does not find an error. I have tried different parameter settings in the Inventory Management to trigger the error on the BOM check but the system could not find any error (which is a good thing). This should not give an error because the system treats each product variant as different "products" even if they are from the same main product number.
But when I create a production order of product variant A where product variant B is in the BOM line type as Pegged supply, the system gives me BOM circularity error. It does not give BOM circularity error if the BOM line type is Item.
Important to note that this has worked before and for whatever reason just suddenly stopped working.
