HELP! I have a real problem or more so my customer Brenda’s machine. The
machine lost power after a storm. This is a very old machine running XP
Pro, we have been nursed along over the years fixing and replacing what we needed. The
reason for nursing this machine along is, that it has a custom copy RMS
designed for Brenda buy a MCP who used a copy of Microsoft Retail Management
Store. Store Operations ver. 1.02.0185. The MCP custom tailored this
package for Brenda's costume and bridal store. Paid a lot of money to have it
done.
her along with any access passwords to the program itself. After a few
years the MCP mismanaged her company, and it went out of business. This left my
customer with no way to service the program. As well as her being able
to retrieve her software and balance of equipment from the sale. So, I
am looking for help and advice on how I can restore the RMS & SQL
link that was broken.
As I had said. This is an older ASUS MB machine Q2Q. Still rock solid. Way
more power than its original machine a P4 that got lighting struck. It runs
24/7 (for years) so I think the drive started to get a little tired so
to say. When I did finally get it to boot to the OS There were a number
of disk errors and a lot of orphaned files. I have a replacement.
I guess questions I have are (You are speaking with a Sr. Tech).
Is there a back door admin login to the program. A registry hack maybe?
Can you still get a copy of this software downloaded?
Since she kept the setup material, is there a place I can download it.
Is there a place in the registry where the S/N and registration info are stored?
Any
tips and help are appreciated where I have worked with SQL data bases a
little working with Zen carts. Not to trouble shoot Program and SQL DB
problems.
this program. Remember this software program was developed on a windows
XP platform around 2004. I do not see the word Dynamic any where in the package. I used this
support link because it was the only one that mentions support for
Retail Management System (Store). Hope someone can point me to the right
area if this is not the correct community.
