Bank reconciliation auto match feature not working properly

I ran the auto match with 7 days +_. Most of the entries matched correctly, a few didn't match. However, some of them matched, even though the posting date, and the amounts were not the same. This led to a difference that wasn't zero for two entries. The amounts were also not close, and neither were the descriptions. So totally random match. Any reasons why this happened, and ways to get around it? Or user must check afterwards for matches and review them each individually? This makes me think just using manual match would be better.

    Hello, for the bank reconciliation it will try to find a match in that date period but it will also look at the description and amounts. So if there are incorrect matches it may be trying to line things up based on those fields.
     
    You could try using the copilot bank reconciliation as its supposed to be a bit smarter than the standard bank reconciliation auto match.

    To use it you can select the copilot Reconcile function in the top right if its enabled in your environment:
