Solution Export is running from the past 4 hrs

As mentioned in the title, we attempted to export a managed solution. Typically, this process takes about five minutes to generate the solution .zip file. However, on this occasion, the export has been running for the past four hours, which is highly unusual. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before? If so, how was it resolved.

    A 4-hour export time for a typically fast solution usually indicates a hung process or a UI timeout rather than a genuine performance issue.
    Recommended Steps:
    1. Check Solution History: Navigate to Advanced Settings > Solutions > Solution History. The job may have already failed or completed in the backend, even if your browser is still showing the loading spinner.
    2. Hard Refresh & Retry: Close the window, refresh your browser, and attempt the export again. Often, the browser loses connection to the server status while the background process has actually timed out.
    3. Check System Jobs: Ensure no other heavy operations (like a database copy or bulk actionb) are running, as these can lock the metadata tables.
    If a retry hangs again, we recommend raising a support ticket with Microsoft via the Power Platform Admin Center so they can investigate the backend logs and terminate the hung process.
