One account - payments and receipts for other inter-company vendors/customer

The scenario is where there is one bank account on one company but multiple inter-company vendors/customers.
Payments would be made from the one bank account but what is the optimum way to allocate to the inter-company vendors invoices. Ditto for receipts.
I have the same question (0)

You can use the instructions here to see how it would work for AP - Allocate Costs to Intercompany Partners - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

    Hi,

    Yep—use a centralized treasury setup:
    • Keep the one bank in a hub company (Treasury). Post/pay all external AP/AR there.
    • Recharge/allocate to each opco via Intercompany journals or IC sales/purchase docs (use Allocation Keys for fixed splits like 40/35/25).
    • Ops companies post the IC inbox; they get the cost/revenue + a Due to/Due from Treasury.
    • For receipts, take cash in Treasury, then push revenue to opcos the same way.
    • Add default dimensions and proper VAT posting on IC to keep reporting/audit clean.
If you must keep vendors/customers in each opco, use clearing accounts in Treasury and mirror entries back with IC journals—works, just more bookkeeping.
