Hi:

Unlike in Production BOMs, how does scrap get calculated and "configured" in Assembly BOMs?

Thanks!

Assembly BOMs don't have scrap functionality. It is recommended to use Production BOMs for scrap tracking.

You can also just opt to either add extra quantities for consumption in the assembly order if you want to include scrap. It is manualy so can be missed. You could also have an item journal and post negative adjustments with a reason code called "SCRAP" instead. Again its manual but I have worked with clients who look at scrap on a periodic basis and just use item journals without issue. Ususally this is just recommended in less complex setups.
