To restrict users from viewing all purchase orders, you need to manage user Permission Sets, specifically by creating custom sets that limit access to the relevant tables and pages.

On a certain scenario for a user?

One option is to give the user a permission set that excludes read access to the Purchase Header and Purchase Line tables. You can copy an existing set, like D365 BASIC, and then remove those two tables from it.

    Hello,

If the goal is “stop certain users from seeing ALL purchase orders”, the simple way in standard BC is:
Use a security filter on table 38 (Purchase Header).

    Example:
Create a permission set that includes Read on table 38, but add a Security Filter like:
Document Type = ‘’ (blank → user sees nothing), or
Buy-from Vendor No. = X (user sees only orders for one vendor), or
    Any filter you want.
    Steps (built-in functionality):
    Go to Permission Sets.
    Create a User-Defined permission set.
Add Table Data – 38 Purchase Header → set Read = Yes.
Assign this permission set to the user.
Security filters are the only native way to hide specific documents in BC.
