How to save starting date descending list in a currency exchange rate list page

Hi All,

When I open exchange rate, the data shows ascending. Each time, i need to click on starting date and descending.
Is there any way to save it so that when I open currency exchange rates, the starting date directly shows in descending order
There's no way to save this as well.
Please help.

How to save starting date descending list in a currency exchange rate list page

    Hi,

The default sort behavior on list pages like Currency Exchange Rates can be frustrating when it doesn’t match your workflow.

Out of the box, BC doesn’t let you persist a sort order like “Starting Date descending” unless you save it as a personal view. Here’s how you can do that without customization:

    • Open the Currency Exchange Rate list page
    • Click the Starting Date column to sort descending
    • Press Shift+F3 or click the filter pane icon
    • Choose Save as… at the top of the filter pane
    • Name your view (e.g., “Latest Rates First”) and press Enter

Once saved, this view will appear in your dropdown list at the top of the page. You can select it anytime to load the descending sort automatically. Unfortunately, BC doesn’t let you set this saved view as the default for all users unless you create a custom page extension or use AL to define a SourceTableView property, which isn’t possible on existing system pages.

If you’re managing multiple currencies or updating rates frequently, this saved view method is the cleanest workaround for now.
