Comments are not Printing on Sales Orders

After a recent update my Comments on Sales Orders are not showing on the physically printed Sales Order. (verified all boxes are checked to print)

There has to be something in Set-up that turns this off and on.

Any ideas

Hello,

There isn’t a setup toggle for this—when Sales Order comments stop printing after an update, it’s almost always because the report layout changed. The active Sales Order report layout (Word) likely no longer includes the Sales Comment Lines, or a different default/customer-specific layout is now selected. Check Report Selection – Sales, confirm which layout is active, and verify the Word layout contains the comments section; also confirm Print Comments is still checked on the report request page. Updates commonly reset or switch layouts, which causes this symptom.

Hi, If you're referring to the comment below, there's no option in the standard to control this.
Currently, it doesn't appear to be printed in the standard either.

Hi,

This usually isn’t a setup “toggle”, it’s the report/layout.
After updates, Report Selection – Sales Order often points to a different report or layout (especially a Word layout) that doesn’t include comments.

Check the following:

Report Selection → Sales Order
Make sure you’re using the expected report (e.g. standard 1305/1306 or your custom one).

Layout
If using a Word layout, verify the layout actually contains Sales Comments. Many do not.

Request Page
Confirm Print Comments / Show Sales Comments is enabled.

Comment Type
Only Document comments (not Internal) print.

Most cases are resolved by switching back to the standard layout or fixing the Word layout.
