Cannot Select User Defined layouts for Customer Document Layouts

Hi all,

In Business Central I’ve set up a User Defined Word layout for the Sales Quote:
  1. Added a User Defined layout on the Report Layouts page
  2. Assigned it in Report Layout Selection and confirmed it prints correctly
On the Customer card → Customer Document Layouts, for the Sales Quote report, I only see options under Custom Report Layouts (Legacy). I can’t see or choose my new User Defined layout from the Report Layouts page.
Questions:
  1. How can I select a User Defined layout for a specific customer in Customer Document Layouts?
  2. Is Custom Report Layouts (Legacy) now considered obsolete, and should we be using only the new User Defined layouts?

Version: Business Central 26.5 (Platform 26.0.41507.0, Application 26.5.38752.41739, online)

Thanks.

    Hi,

You need after creation to Migrate your Layout with system layouts, then it will apper on the report Sales Qoute for select.

On sales Quote you will see custom report for

You can define on customer card default report for example Sales Quote.

I hope so it will help to you.

    Hello,

In Business Central 26.5, while User Defined layouts are the modern standard for customizing report designs and assigning them via Report Layout Selection, they currently cannot be assigned per customer through the Customer Document Layouts page, which still only supports Custom Report Layouts (Legacy) for customer-specific layout assignments; although legacy layouts are not yet obsolete, Microsoft is gradually transitioning away from them, so for now, use legacy layouts for customer-specific needs and User Defined layouts for general use.

    Hello,

You can’t yet assign User Defined layouts per customer, Customer Document Layouts still use Custom Report Layouts (Legacy).
Use legacy layouts for customer-specific needs and User Defined ones for company-wide defaults.

    Hello,

@OussamaSabbouh and @Jainam M. Kothari I configured per customer different layout for Sales Qoute report.
First I created report 1304 - copy orginal then migrate to system Report Layouts.
I have default also 1304 but different layouts.

I configured on the customer card specific layout for customer 357:

Then I tested all is as expected. System automaticlly select layouts right by document layouts per customer.

    example Sales Qoute:
