Unable to manually add default dimensions to FA cards or copy FA cards with specific dimensions

Hi BC experts, we are experiencing an issue when applying default cost codes to Fixed Asset > Fixed Asset Card > Dimensions. This is only happening for a select few of dimensions. Some can be applied and others cannot. The same happens when attempting to copy a FA card which uses those same codes. It seems that Assets using the affected codes have been uploaded previously and there may be a validation applied to the manual process?

Hello,

Most likely this is a dimension setup/validation issue, not a Fixed Asset issue: if only some default dimension codes fail on the FA Card or when copying the asset, check whether those specific dimension values are blocked/missing, restricted by Default Dimension rules like Same Code / Code Mandatory / No Code, or blocked by dimension combinations/value combinations; older uploaded assets may still carry those values, but current manual entry/copy validates against today’s rules and rejects them.
