Word Report creating invalid characters when used for Email Body

Hi Everyone,
I have created a custom email body layout for Sales Order Confirmation -1305. The issue is when I run this report layout, it previews perfect.

But when I send an email (in which this layout is used) the  "-" character is always replaced by "ËÇÉ".

P.S
I have tried changing the font styles (also to Calibri which standard BC uses for its word layout), but its still there.
I have the same question (0)

Check if that description is not copied from somewhere that was in different coding. In BC it will save the other coding, but it might be not compatible with the email provider.
Delete the text from that description and re-enter again. (in the place where the Phase 1 description is originally stored)

    Hello,

Your Word email body layout isn’t saved in UTF-8, so when BC converts it to HTML for email, the “-” character gets corrupted into “ËÇÉ”.
Just resave the Word layout using UTF-8 encoding and re-upload it — that fixes it.

Hi, The "-" in this description looks a bit different. Could you copy the first one to the last two, including the spaces?

    Thanks

Hi, As @YunZhu advised, if I remove the second and third character, the mails sent fine. But Customer will always copy and paste these descriptions and won;t remove manually.

@OussamaSabbouh I tried UTF-8 Encoding by saving as .txt and then giving encoding option you advised but it converts everything to plain text and I tried to format by reopening txt file but no links with data.

The second option I tried is Options > Advanced > Web Pages  (Save as UTF 8 Encoding) and updated layout but didn't work
Can You be please advise the steps how Can I resave my word layout as UTF-8 Encoding. Thanks

    Hi,

In your Word layout, try replacing all dashes with the standard ASCII hyphen. Alternatively, switch to an RDLC layout or HTML-based email body for better encoding consistency.

    Thanks

Thank you all for really helpful insights. However I found @Data Dynamo's answer to be really working and solving the reported issue.
