Is it possible to combine shipments adding quantities per item?

When combining shipments if an item appears in more than one shipment, is transfered to the invoice each time as a separate line, is it possible if an item has 2 pieces of quantity in one shipment and 3 pieces of quantity in another shipment to create a consildated line with 5 pieces of quantity instead of two separate lines?

    Hi,
     
    Short answer: not in standard Business Central.

    When you combine shipments (via Get Shipment Lines or the Combine Shipments batch), BC brings each shipped line as its own invoice line. There isn’t a built-in “compress/merge identical items” option that would total 2 pcs from Shipment A and 3 pcs from Shipment B into a single 5-pcs line. Microsoft’s docs describe combining shipments onto one invoice, but they don’t include a line-consolidation setting.

    This is not possible using standard functionality. Out of the box the system creates one invoice line per each shipment line.
