Hi! I am currently trying to set up our warehouses outbound pallet build process and trying to use the “outbound sorting” mobile device menu. I was able to successfully process a sales order and pick the items to a license plate and put to a sort location. Unfortunately when I try to use the outbound sorting menu and scan the license plate it gives the error “the selected container or lives plate record doesn’t specify a valid work id”. I can see on the work line it is the correct license plate and all pick lines are closed. Work status is “in process” but there is no container id only target license plate. What is missing to be able to scan the license plate and complete the outbound sorting function? To note: the work template modified was the sales order work type. I did try to add location directives and work template for the sorted inventory picking but not sure how that works with the sales order or if it is even necessary.
desired process flow:
pick items from locations to a license plate>put license plate to sort location>scan license plate at sort location>scan to generated license plate for pallet build broken down by sales order>once pallet is full or sales order picks have all been moved, move pallet license plate to final outbound staging location
