    Hi,

Even with the ResourceExposurePolicy that you have set, the source code will be visible in Symbols, if you have uploaded the extension as Dev.
If you publish your extension as PTE and then download it as symbol, the source code will not be included in the symbol file.

    Regards,
    Dhiren.

The only solution is to set allowDebugging to false as well....
    Thanks.

    Hello,

Your resourceExposurePolicy setup is correct; if you still see source in .alpackages, it’s almost always because you’re viewing symbols from other extensions (Base/System/3rd-party) or cached symbols from an older build of your own app. The policy only applies to your extension’s symbols, not Microsoft’s, and it only takes effect after a new publish. Delete the local .alpackages folder, run AL: Download Symbols, bump the app version, uninstall the old version from BC, and republish—then verify you’re opening the .app that matches your app name and version.

    Regards,

The resourceExposurePolicy settings do not affect symbol packages downloaded by developers. allowDownloadingSource = false applies to runtime/source download, not symbols. Nothing is missing in app.json. Source visibility in symbols cannot be disabled.
