Hi all,

I am trying to integrate TaxJar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for sales tax calculation.

I have a few questions:

Is there any trusted third-party extension (AppSource or partner solution) that successfully integrates Business Central with TaxJar for tax calculation?
What is the best practice to use TaxJar with Business Central — using a connector/extension or a custom API integration?
How should Business Central be configured so that tax is calculated by TaxJar instead of the standard tax engine?

Any guidance or real-world experience would be appreciated.

Hello,

Business Central has no standard TaxJar integration. If a third-party AppSource connector exists, it’s purely ISV-provided and must be evaluated case by case. Best practice is to use a mature connector if it fully covers your needs; otherwise, implement a custom AL integration using TaxJar APIs. There is no setup switch in BC to replace the standard tax engine—TaxJar must be called via an extension, and its results written back so BC does not recalculate tax.
