Price of item

Hello Community,

I have a question regarding sales trade agreements in Dynamics 365.

If two sales trade agreements are active simultaneously for the same item, each with a different sales price (for example, one agreement has a price of 1000 and another has a price of 1500), which price will the system apply to the item during a sales transaction?

Could you please clarify how the price determination works in this scenario?

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

    Hi Harsh,
    There is a possibility that the sales trade agreement may be active for 2 different customers for same item or there must be different period defined for that item Or the trade agreement is based on the quantity. Please do check all these combinations and create a sales order and check which price is system taking. Also you might have to carry different test combinations to verify this.
    Hope this helps!!

    Hi Harsh,

    Which price is retrieved, depends on the given From and To dates for the trade agreement, as well as the value in the field Find next. In case find next is enabled, it will try to find another price record and it will use the lowest price for the customer.

    So, depending on how exactly the trade agreements are set up in your environment, the outcome would be either 1000 or 1500.

    There is a whitepaper linked at the bottom of this article. It explains the order in which prices or discounts are searched on Page 5. If the first price it finds has 'Find next' = Yes, it will keep searching, until it finds all applicable prices, or it finds one on which 'Find next' = No. At this point, it will use the lowest price from all the prices it found.

    If the first price it finds has 'Find next' = No, it will always use that price.

    The selection/search also depends upon the Party Code type and Product code type.
    Table = Customer Account
    Group = Customer/Vendor Price Group
    All = Applicable to all customers

    Table = Specific Item
    Group = Item Price Group
    All = Applicable to all items.
