I’m currently working in a Business Central 27.5 (development environment) and expected to see the Custom Agent Preview feature that was announced as part of the newer AI/agent capabilities.
However, I’m not seeing any option or UI related to custom agents in my environment.
Details:
- Version: Business Central 27.5
- Environment: Sandbox (Development)
- Expected feature: Custom Agent Preview (as mentioned in preview releases around early 2026)
Questions:
- Is the Custom Agent Preview feature available by default in 27.5, or does it require additional enablement?
- Does it depend on:
- Feature Management toggle?
- Copilot/AI feature enablement?
- Specific region or tenant settings?
- Early access / private preview enrollment?
- Are there any prerequisites (e.g., permissions, extensions, or configuration) required to make it visible?
- Is this feature only available in certain sandbox types (e.g., preview environments vs. standard sandbox)?
What I’ve checked so far:
- Looked through Feature Management — no obvious agent-related feature found
- Verified permissions (full admin access)
- Confirmed environment is up to date
If anyone has successfully enabled or used the Custom Agent Preview in 27.5, I’d really appreciate guidance on how to access it.
