Dimension Correction: System filled description && logging

When management decides they need a more granular report, you end up changing some dimensions.
 
1. The dimension correction field should be filled by the system to give a more meaningful description, eg  "DimCorr: entry xxxx,  invoice etc"  see attached.
 
2.  'Validate Dimension Changes' sometimes hangs in La-La land spinning but not making any log entries.  
                      When that happens you cannot continue at all, no other dimension changes can be validated or run.  Delete the dimension change that's hanging, skip it, and try it later.  It usually succeeds by the third attempt.
