Good day all,
I dont know if anyone can help. At present we have a very very old system running Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 from 2007.. A relative has been using this system for the last decade.. now that their system is on its last leg i want to get their inventory list off for the.. but here is the problem.
1)because the system is failing, it came up with prompt asking him to activate the software.. he enters his key, but it cant activate because its that old.
2)i am able to open the Store operation manager and do reports on his suppliers and customers for him in csv form to put into excel... but the item list is a problem.. not able to generate a report that will show which item is taxable... he presently has over 5000 items in it. .. i try to open the store operations administrator... but he doesnt know the password for the sa user... but when i click on configration i see it has the username and password.. click test connection it works.. but when i try too go File connect ... it prompts for the password for SA user.

And the old crystal report templates he has, none has anything to do with Items... and he doesnt have crystal report installed on this machine..

so i am at a lost on how to export the item list with the taxable item field.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    You can still extract the item list including the Taxable field from RMS 2.0 even without activation or the SA password.
    Since Store Operations Manager can still “Test Connection,” the SQL login stored inside RMS still works — so you can:
    Quickest method
    Create a Custom Report inside Store Operations Manager and run this SQL:
    SELECT ItemLookupCode, Description, Price, Cost, Quantity, Taxable
    FROM Item
    ORDER BY ItemLookupCode;

    Export it to CSV — no SA password needed.
    This gives you all 5,000+ items with the taxable flag.
