AsyncOperation Table - Bulk delete job system behaviour

I recently encountered an unusual scenario where a bulk delete job was created to clear auditing from the Power Platform Admin Center. The job shows owner = systemuser and createdby = SYSTEM, but the systemuser in question did not create the job. This raises two key questions:

  1. Can Dynamics CRM / Dataverse autonomously create a bulk delete job and assign it to a logged‑in user (who is a Power Platform Admin) without that user explicitly initiating it—either through the Power Platform Admin Center or via a direct API call authenticated with that user’s credentials?

  2. Can a system job created by one user execute using the credentials of a different logged‑in Power Platform Admin user?

    Question 1:
    Yes. Dataverse can create a bulk delete job with Created By = SYSTEM and assign ownership to the admin context that triggered the action via the Admin Center.
     
    Question 2:
    No. A system job cannot run using another user’s credentials. All bulk delete jobs execute under the platform asynchronous service, not under individual user identities.
