BC v27 Upgrade – Status of Known Issues

Hi all,

We have put our Business Central v27 upgrade on hold due to the following known issues reported by Microsoft.

We would like to check whether we should proceed with the upgrade at this stage. Could you please share the current status of these issues and advise if it is safe to move forward?

Looking forward to your guidance.

1- Excessive Decimals in Analysis Mode

2- Incorrect Quantity Rounding in Order Tracking

3- VAT Submission Errors due to Precision Mismatch

Microsoft keeps a running list of bug fixes in each BC 365 release. Here's a link --> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-history-for-microsoft-dynamics-365-business-central-94543d51-59fe-13aa-89f3-cf0cf00e09fa. Any bug introduced in BC 27 would hopefully find its way into a bug fix in a subsequent BC version, such as BC 27.1, BC 27.2, and so on.

Hello,

All three items are confirmed known issues in BC v27; Analysis Mode excessive decimals is mostly a display/rounding UI issue with low functional risk, Order Tracking quantity rounding is medium risk if you use complex UOM/reservations and must be tested carefully, while VAT submission precision mismatch is the highest risk and should only be upgraded once you are on the latest cumulative update that explicitly fixes it. Recommendation: move to v27 only if you upgrade directly to the latest CU and validate VAT submission and order tracking in sandbox with real data; otherwise, waiting one more CU is the safer option.

The current update cycle is six months. If you don't urgently need the new features, I personally don't recommend upgrading immediately. It's safer to prepare in advance and upgrade around CU03.

I think Microsoft has accepted that these three problems exist in Business Central v27. Fixes are being released step by step, but some systems may not have them yet. If this upgrade is very important for your business, it’s better to wait until the latest fixes are available in your system before upgrading.
