Hi All,

We cannot connect BC with Power BI anymore.

We don't know when this occurred but seems to be on V27 and V26 environments.

Any advice or news from Microsoft?

I have the same question (5)

Can you check any Custom API got modified. Can you re-publish the extension and verify .
As per above message , columns are mismatch.

Or incase of standard APIs ; one way is to re-publish the webservices .

Still you face issue , kindly raise ticket to MS .

    Warm Regards

You are not alone on this problem- this has happened to two other organizations that just I know of so far...

same bat time, same bat place, and there have been no new extensions deployed, so Microsoft is almost certainly to blame for this.

The issue seems to be that the Dynamics 365 Business central Connector in PBI doesn't even work anymore.

We tried opening a new blank PBI report, and used the "get data" -> other -> D365 BC connector function, and the connector itself throws an error even when querying the instance of BC attached to the user account.

The connector is what it is- there no way to modify how it works as far as we can tell.

Has anybody found a workaround to this yet? We have stakeholders screaming at us!

    Hello,

Microsoft changed some OData metadata, and Power BI now throws
“There were more columns in the result than expected.”

    It’s happening for many tenants.

    Workaround:
Use the Business Central connector instead of OData, or refresh the dataset.
Microsoft is already investigating and preparing a fix.

    Regards,
