Hi all,

I have to manage the posting of a warehouse shipment through AL code. I need to find a bulletproof solution that won’t cause issues with possible future Microsoft BC updates.

I need to find documentation about this. For example, I’m currently testing by trying to copy Microsoft’s standard action, but I’m getting a problematic result. My warehouse shipment contains lines from two different sales orders, and if one of them fails, my procedure still creates a shipment. However, I want the entire posting process to be blocked if even a single line fails, without creating any posted documents.

Where can i find examples about this?

Hi Matteo,

It will really help if you share your AL code you currently using..
I also recommend like you did, checking how Microsoft handles in standard posting codeunit 5763 "Whse.-Post Shipment". Properly check the temporary tables and the correct use of Commit which seems to be an issue here..

For future updates.. I think subscribing to events is safer approach, anyways.. If you share your code.. me (or others here) can help point out what’s missing.
