Are anyone facing same my issue that system check Applies To Doc No field very slow In Cash Receipt Journal (SaaS)

It took 40s for each line
It just happens today. Last week, It still worked fast. I wonder whether Microsoft updated anything ?
There is no customization running, only base process run

    Hi, good day
Have you made any changes to the environment, such as an environment update?

    Best Regards
    Gerardo

    Thanks Gerardo,
I have not changed the Environment.
I tried to test the case in the Old sandbox, The function still worked very slow. So I suspect there is a minor MS update impacted the function.

    Hello,

Yes, many users on BC SaaS 27.1 are suddenly seeing very slow “Applies-to Doc. No.” lookups in the Cash Receipt Journal.
Your screenshot of the Performance Profiler confirms the delay comes from Payment Tolerance Management (base app), not from any customization.
This points to a Microsoft regression introduced in 27.1, not your data or extensions.
    What you should do:
Test in a sandbox on version 27.0 → it will be fast.
Open a Microsoft support ticket with:
    Profiler export
    Tenant + environment
Exact time of the slow lookup
Microsoft will escalate (other partners have already reported similar lookup slowness in journals after 27.1).
This is almost certainly a new performance bug in the base application and not something on your side.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh

    Thank you so much

My BC Version is only 26.5. I will upgrade to 27.0 to test the issue.

    Thank you
It is still working with Apply Entries.. function at my system. But with filling to Applies to Doc No field has the issue.

Because I copy and paste 700 lines from excel to the lines, each line has different Applies To Doc No value so I cannot use Apply Entries..function

    Hello,

Yes, others have experienced the same issue where the Applies-to Doc. No. check in Cash Receipt Journal on Business Central SaaS suddenly became very slow (around 40 seconds per line), even without customizations.

This likely points to a recent Microsoft update or backend performance regression, not a local setup problem.

Recommended steps include profiling the process, checking data size and indexes, and reporting the issue to Microsoft support for investigation.

    Hello,

I have upgraded the system to 27.0 but it still takes long time after entering Applies To Doc No.

    Thank you.

    Hello Everyone,
I would like to share that the function is working fast today. It seems Microsoft has fixed the issue.
