Shopify Integration

From my initial research and understanding, it seems that the synchronization of data such as inventory, orders, products etc. needs to be scheduled using the job queue to/from Shopify.

I remember from NAV that there was a setting to either push all the data across or only look for changes made but I'm not seeing that on BC. Can someone provide information is these jobs can be set to listed for changes and then have a master job that makes a complete table update periodically?

Also, I know shopify uses webhooks to send events out i real time, but haven't seen any feature in Business central to do so. Does anyone know of a methods to do this so changes can be live?
I have the same question (0)

Yes that assumption is correct. With the shopify connector you need to use Job Queues to sync data automatically. You can also push data manually if you would like from the Shopify Shop Card.

You can review synchronization errors from the Shopify Activities page which can be accessed from the Business Manager Role Center dashboard.

If you would to use a trigger to send data real time you typically need to use power automate for this. You would setup OData webservices and then use power automate to create data based on a trigger or real time data. This would be a custom approach different from just using the standard shopify connector.

@teagan, But does the job use the change log to push only changes made since the last run?

Hey , from what i know about bc shopify connector, it do sync data like inventory order product via job queue yes, and it schedule them to run at interval. In nav there was option for all data or change only, but in bc it more smart - by default it do delta sync mean only import or update thing that change or new since last sync. You see this in doc, it optimize for not full every time.
For set to listen change, the job queue is like poll, you can set it run every 5 min or so, it check for change and update. Not true listen but close if you make frequent. For master job full update, yes you can have separate job or use the reset button on shop card to force full sync periodic, like once day or week while other job do delta often.
About webhook for real time, native bc no have that feature for shopify in. Shopify send webhook out yes, but bc not catch them direct. You need third party tool or custom for that. Like i see celigo or kingswaysoft they use webhook for true live sync, or some app like patchworks. If you custom, bc have webhook subscribe but need dev to set up for shopify event. Not easy but possible.
