I am working in D365 Finance & Operations with Warehouse Management + Quality Management enabled.
Below is our process:
Question:
Is there any standard configuration in D365 FO to prevent License Plate movement when any item inside the LP is under an active Quality Order?
Or
Does this require a customization? If yes, what would be the correct extension point to block LP movement in the warehouse mobile device?
I am working in D365 Finance & Operations with Warehouse Management + Quality Management enabled.
Below is our process:
- We register items using mobile device → RECV location(Virtual)
- Immediately put them into RECVING location(Purchase order work type)
- Sometimes warehouse creates a mixed LP (multiple items inside one LP)
- After the warehouse team posts Product Receipt, the system automatically creates a Quality Order
- When a Quality Order is in Open status, D365 blocks the item transaction, but it still allows the entire License Plate (LP) to be moved to another location
Problem:
Even though the item is blocked by the Quality Order, users can still move the LP using mobile device menus (LP movement / movement by template / transfer).
This causes mistakes because items under inspection can be moved to incorrect locations.
