Selected drop downs shown in one field based on the drop down selected in another field

Hi,

I'm trying to customise our system so that when a user selects one of the options from the drop down in field "a", field "b" only gives you a selected few options from the drop down list. for example

Field a - drop down selected is "Invoice"

Field b has a number of options but only 2 of those options are relevant to "invoice". the remaining options are not shown.

Hope that makes sense.. I want to do it through the customisation section rather than code as i can't access that with our security options at the firm. any help is greatly appreciated
