Vendor EFT/ACH Prenotes

I am researching how to issue Prenotes for Vendors paid by ACH/EFT.  I cannot find any functionality in BC to do this.  Closest I could find is another Community post where the response was it is not a standard BC feature.  I find this hard to believe.  If it is not included as standard BC functionality, what options do I have to send a bank a prenote file for newly created Vendors?

Just to clarify what is a prenote?
a prenote (short for pre-notification) refers to a zero-dollar test transaction sent through the ACH (Automated Clearing House) or EFT network to verify bank account details before any actual funds are transferred. It’s essentially a validation step used in electronic payment setups like payroll, vendor payments, or direct deposits.

Yes, Prenote is the same as Pre-Notification.  The link you provided is the same one I found, where it states this feature is not standard in BC.  Hard to believe, since it is a basic feature that banks require/request to make sure the bank account information for the intended payee is accurate.

If there is no standard option in BC, I am looking for suggestions on how to implement this feature.

    Hello ,

Business Central does not have native ACH/EFT prenote functionality—it only generates payment files for posted payments, so there’s no standard way to send a $0 prenote file for vendors. This is by design and confirmed by the absence of any setup or process in standard BC. Your options are basically customization (add a prenote flag and generate a $0 or bank-required test file without posting), send a small live test payment (like $0.01, if your bank allows it), submit prenotes directly via the bank or payment provider portal, or use an ISV payment app that already supports prenotes. If your bank mandates prenotes, standard BC alone won’t cover it.
