Increasing the size of the Work Description window on Sales Orders

Is there a way to increase the size of the Work Description window area (not the number of characters, but the actual size of the window) on Sales Orders? I am trying to increase the size of the window so that more data can be viewed and inserted without having to scroll through.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello ,

You can’t increase the height of the Work Description field on Sales Orders in standard Business Central—the control is fixed-size and not resizable via setup or personalization. Users can only scroll within it or use full-screen page view. The only practical workaround is customization: add a custom page or FactBox (opened via an action) that shows the same field in a larger text box for easier viewing/editing.

Microsoft as a standard allow three line text as MultiLine property . For BC 23 and above versions , we can use RichText Control Property . But this may not meet your requirement of expandable window,

We need to customize . Self have not worked on this customization . As recommended by above experts you can check those links

Hi,

The Work Description is shown in a standard modal dialog whose size is controlled by the web client. There is no supported way to resize that window or make it display more lines without scrolling.
