How to set up vendor rebate and price groups/line discount

Hi,
 
My list over price/discount groups is only showing the module "Inventory", and I tried to register a line discount group for a vendor. When I try to use this group to post a journal with a rebate percentege for a specific vendor, an alert is popping. What do I have to fix, or is it impossible with these combinations?
Is it possible to use a line discount group with the module "Vendor" and not "Inventory" to avoid having a long list over line discount groups? Inventory is used for sales line rebate for sales prices.
 
Or is it best to register a rebate agreement with the vendors own rebate groups and rebate amounts?

    Hi,
     
    Vendor price discount groups are assigned to vendors and you can select them in the "Account relation"-field if you set "Party code type" to "Group". If you want to assign a discount group to a released product, you need to use "Item discount groups", which can be found here:
