Projects - Jobs posting lines

hi to everyone, I am working in BC Projects (Jobs) and I can’t figure out how time sheet posting is correctly managed.
I have the following project line:

The planning is “Both Budget and Billable” and requires the work of a resource for 50 hours, 50€/hour → total cost = 2.500.
The budget billable is 50 hours * 75€/hour → 3.750.
I want to simulate an extra cost of 5 hours: this is due to the fact that the resource took 5 more hours to complete the task. I cannot bill those 5 hours to the customer and so it will become an extra cost to the project.
So, I proceed through time sheets and once I arrive at the project journals, I collect the project lines through Suggest lines from time sheets. The lines is correctly retrieved but the Line Type is blank (and in the time sheets it is impossible to fill this field, a part from the fact that I don’t want to do it because it doesn't make sense).
The problem arises when I try to post the line because I get this notification that seems to cause problems in the project planning lines:

Anyway, if I proceed to post the line I get the result that I want in the project task flowfields:

The actual cost is different from the budget cost and this is correct! If instead, I had put a line type at the posting of the project journal line, I would have got the Budget (total cost) flowfield updated and equal to the Actual (total cost) flowfield.
By proceeding with the invoice to the customer (created directly from the task line) I also get the correct Billabe / Invoiced flowfields:

These values are equal because I correctly didn’t charged the 5 extra hours to the customer.
So, I don’t know if I am missing anything or if I it just correct like this and the pop-up message is simply misleading.
Thank you in advance
P.s. Please, don’t answer me with ChatGPT answers because it is not effective.

Your process is spot on, don't change anything.  Since you are billing for the time estimated, not actual, the "Budget and Billable" line type applies for your Project Planning Line.  Since your actual time has no impact on the billing of the Project, the line type of "blank" is correct, since you don't want to impact either the Budget or the Billable planning lines.  You invoice off the original Project Planning Lines, not the Project Ledger, so you are doing everything as you should.

The reason for the warning message is the "Apply Usage Link" on the Project.  I encourage you leave that on, as it has impacts on Item Planning that you (potentially) wouldn't want to lose.  If you are only doing Resource tracking (service type industry), you could potentially turn off the Apply Usage Link to avoid that message.

Finally, if you need it for planning, you could potentially suppress that message when posting Resource only lines in the Project Journal, but this would be an Extension, and only necessary if it becomes a real bother seeing the message.

P.S. Before making any changes to setup, such as the "Apply Usage Link", please test thoroughly in a Sandbox copy of your Production environment.
