We are facing an issue while trying to upgrade our Business Central sandbox environment to the v27 preview.

Here’s the scenario:

We created a new sandbox environment (copied from Production).
The environment is currently on version 26.4.
When we try to schedule an update to v27 preview, it doesn’t allow us to select the same day.

For example:

We attempt to schedule the update on 10th September, the system automatically sets the update date to 17th September.
Similarly, we try again on 11th September, it moves the update to 18th September.

It always shifts the scheduled update by exactly one week, and we are unable to apply the preview upgrade immediately.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or is this the expected behavior for preview updates?

The behavior you are experiencing is expected for preview updates in Business Central SaaS environments. When scheduling an update to a preview version like v27, the system enforces a minimum delay usually about one week before applying the update to allow Microsoft to manage rollout timing and stability across tenants. This means you cannot select the same day for the update; it automatically shifts to the next available window, typically a week later. Preview sandbox environments are designed for testing and must remain in preview until deleted or moved to production releases. For the most current update scheduling policies, refer to official Microsoft documentation and Business Central release blogs.
