I am unable to proceed with modifying an SO with delivered status. I wanted to modify the tax-exempt number however the system is not allowing me to do so and a message pops up.
Can you explain to me why?

    Seems this Sales order have work order, Do cancel the work order and cancel the shipment. change the required filed and do again release this order to warehouse.

    Hi 

    Once the sales order line is in delivered status, the system locks financial and tax related fields. This usually happens because picking list or registration updates already exist for the item. Since the line has been physically processed, the tax-exempt number cannot be changed anymore.

    In Test env, you can try reversing the picking list or registration or undoing the delivery if your process allows it. Once those updates are rolled back, the field can become editable again.

    Thanks. I am not sure if the intercompany order setup has a factor on this as well
