Adjust material consumption for catch weight items in the Production shop floor terminal

We are using catch weight for the raw material (RM).

The catch weight (CW) unit is Pieces, and the inventory unit is Kilograms (KG).
We are working with Advanced Warehouse Management (AWMS) and using work activities for RM picking and put-away.

Scenario:
When we create a production order to manufacture a finished goods (FG) item:

For example, RM item 001 has the following configuration:

CW unit: 1 Piece = 10 KG (nominal weight)
Minimum weight: 5 KG
Maximum weight: 10 KG

We pick the RM material from the fixed location and move it to the production (staging) location by processing the work.
Issue:
Once we start the production order in the terminal, we have the option to adjust the weight/quantity of the RM.

The system allows adjusting the material weight from 10 KG to 5 KG and posting it.
The picking list gets posted successfully.
However, the remaining 5 KG still shows in the staging location, but when we check the CW unit, it appears blank. we are unable to move/consume the balance quantity as system is showing an error there is no stock available at the location.
