Issue Description:
The MS Dynamics on-prem ADFS server and front-end server certificates expired on 24-May-2026. We have successfully updated the new certificates on both servers. Post-update, we verified the certificate details and expiry dates using PowerShell, and all values are correct.
As part of the activity, we:
Disabled Claims-Based Authentication in MS Dynamics
Performed the certificate update on ADFS and front-end servers
Restarted required services (ADFS service restart, IIS reset, and server reboot)
Attempted to re-enable Claims-Based Authentication using the Dynamics 365 Deployment Manager
However, while reconfiguring Claims-Based Authentication in Deployment Manager, we are encountering the following error:
“The federation metadata URL is not available”
We have already verified:
Certificate installation and validity
ADFS configuration
Federation metadata URL is accessible via browser
Service restarts (ADFS and IIS)
Server reboot
Despite completing all required steps and validations, the issue still persists.
