CTP on Quotation lines involving production item with BOM.

Good afternoon,

We are running into issues using CTP for sales quotation lines, its not working with CTP causing delivery dates to be unrealistic.

Is there a work around to get CTP to work out the delivery date of a production item with many components to see if all is in stock or when it will arrive.

We are using planning optimization and Near Real time CTP is enabled.
