Master planning early unconfirmed orders win over already confirmed orders

Hi community,

masterplanning uses the requested or confirmed shipping date for calculation. If there is a confirmed date, mrp will use the confirmed date. If not, dynamics will use the requested date.

New sales order lines are usually unconfirmed, so does only have a requested date when calculation a possible delivery date using CTP or batch-CTP (new planning optimization for batch-ctp).

This means, that new sales order lines that are early calculate a possible confirmed delivery date, but already existing and confirmed lines get a delay. We cannot believe that this is true and that there is no solution.

There should be a parameter where you can decide to prefer confirmed dates over requested dates. It would be great if it were possible to define a period in which confirmed lines win over requested lines.

Does anybody have a solution for this issue?

Thanks for your help.

Benjamin

    Hi Benjamin,

Do you mean that the confirmed delivery date will cause a delay due the difference between the requested and confirmed delivery date?

    Best regards,

    Hi Laurens,

no, I mean that an already confirmed order gets delayed because of a new order with an unconfirmed shipping date that is earlier than the confirmed shipping date of the first order.

Confirmed orders should get prioritized over unconfirmed orders.

    Best regards,

    Benjamin
