Unable to copy project planning lines

We used to be able to copy project planning lines within a project.  Today when trying to do that we are getting the following message:  "Paste failed because of validation errors"

Our software was just updated to 28.0
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Two quick things to check after the v28 upgrade:
    1. Paste into a fully empty row, not over existing lines — BC 28 won't overwrite non-empty rows and the error wording is now generic.
    2. v28 tightened validations on Job Planning Lines. Likely culprits: blank Type, missing Planning Date, or a default dimension now set to Mandatory.

Click *Share details* on the error popup — it names the exact field failing validation.

I tried copying project planning lines in V28 and did not encounter any errors.

As your error indicates, there may be an issue with the data you are trying to copy. I would start by checking whether there is an issue with the data on the lines you are trying to copy. Do you get this error when copying any project planning lines, or only specific ones?

This is the error message that we get.  We are pasting in to an empty row and it is happening in different projects, so it is not isolated to this particular project
