Hi:

In addition to having a Production BOM in place for the finished good in its Item Card, the finished good needs its Routing.

We have very little labor and overhead activity to track, though.

So, for the Routing, can we have "0" specified for the four time buckets and $0.00 cost in the Routing's Work Centers?

In the manufacturing module you dont need to use routings if they aren't relevant. While they can help with capacity planning and can be used to generate output they are entirely optional. You can instead just have Components, consume the components and from the Production Journal post the output quantity for the Production Order instead.

You can also just setup your routings with zero cost if you do want to check availability and capacities. What will happen is, when you post the output and time for the routings it just sets those lines at 0$ cost in the item ledger and capacity ledger. No GL Entries are posted. See below:
