Upgrade from 28.0 to 28.1

Good day,
 
Earlier this week our BC installation was upgraded from 28.0 to 28.1. Some reports have been identified as 'obsolete', to be removed at some other time. Observation and concern are the limitations of these reports which are being regarded as more 'modern'. 
 
I'm looking at the Excel layouts, and I want to add more detail, like invoice number. I have also been looking for some documentation as to what has been changed, looking at 'feature management', not seeing what I'm looking for.

    There seems to be continous changes for report layouts for Business Central that are slowly rolling out.

    All I can find for 28.1 is related to lifeycle changes: Control the lifecycle of report layouts | Microsoft Learn
     
    As an overall strategy Microsoft has been replacing any RDLC reports with new report layouts (sometimes as new Object IDs). You can see a list of unpcoming and new report features here (and other features not related to reports): Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Release Plans
     
    Here are some reports that are being "modernized" or ways they are modernizing report features:
