Hi All,

When I try to create a product, I select the Retail category to update the item number. However, when I attempt to create the product now, I am getting an error.

I have attached a screenshot for your reference. Could you help me out with this?

What if first you select the product number and then map retail category?

Hi Dewitt,

Can you please check if this issue is part of a customization or partner solution? The used error message is not a label available in the standard Dynamics 365 F&O application.

Hi,

Where in your retail category you have done setup for auto numbering for item number?

You should create base item data Item name number and after that apply retail category.

It seems your number sequence to number item is set to Manual.
